IES Brings Low-Carbon Building Know-How to China with New Partnership

E-mail Print

Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES), a provider of integrated performance analysis software and consulting services for sustainable building design, is delighted to be bringing UK low-carbon building know-how to the Chinese market though a new partnership agreement with Deli Solar.

The new commercial partnership between IES and Deli Solar will increase the presence of IES in China and covers both consulting and software services for high-performance, low-energy building design. The IES Virtual Environment analysis suite is widely considered the leading global building simulation and energy modelling package, while the company’s International consulting arm has been employed by Heathrow T5, Wal-Mart, and on many other large projects to undertake advanced performance simulation.

Both Deli Solar and CDAJ, an existing IES software reseller across Japan and China, will support IES on stand 180 at the Intelligent Green and Energy Efficient Conference. The aim of the show is to introduce the most advanced sustainable building techniques in the world to the Chinese market. As well as speaking and exhibiting at the conference, IES will also be taking part in a seminar organised by UK Trade and Investment on Sunday, 28th March focusing on the UK’s experience and capability in delivering green and energy efficient projects.

IES performance analysis allows the development of carbon footprint reduction tactics, assessment of renewable/low-carbon strategies, energy efficiency optimisation, consideration of daylight and solar impact, determination of how to incorporate bulk airflow, ventilation and indoor air quality into the equation, effective water use reduction tactics, assessment of compliance with a range of worldwide regulations and voluntary codes, as well as the measurement of many other environmental performance metrics.

“IES is responding to increased interest for its products and services in the region,” commented Dr. Don McLean, Founder and CEO of IES. “This is driven by new understanding within China of the need to establish and promote resource-saving and environment-friendly buildings. China is the largest populated country in the world and is urbanizing rapidly; ensuring low-energy buildings are achieved is an essential part of its drive towards a more sustainable future.”

“Trials and downloads of our software have been increasing steadily in China, and through it we’ve been able to introduce many to the sustainable design possibilities performance analysis offers. The four tiers of our software allow users to grow their knowledge and experience across different levels.”
