Leopard is the product of joint development with Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan, below “OKI”). Driven by the chief development concept to create “Seat Cradle Design”, Okamura Corporation’s advanced seating technology successfully fused with robot leg technology derived from OKI’s mechatronics engineering to produce Leopard. The human muscle mechanism is applied to provide a superior fit that follows every posture change from sitting to standing enabling ultimate ergonomic comfort. Leopard is a unique relaxed seating with an advanced versatility for many applications.
The Eurostar Italia ETR500 is a high‐speed train model introduced in 1993 by Trenitalia. The trains have been under renovation since 2008 and the newly renovated trains, in vivid two‐toned colours of red and silver‐grey, are nicknamed Frecciarossa (Red Arrow). The ETR500 trains feature “Executive”, “Business”, “Premium” and “Standard” carriages. The interiors were designed by the renowned design house Giugiaro. As part of ETR500’s current renovation project, Leopard, in leather backrest and seat with the matching colour of the train in red, has been installed in the conference rooms of the “Executive” carriage on the route between Milan‐Rome‐Napoli, whose service started in November 2011.
