RFP Magazine today announced the winners of the Asia region's most coveted awards for individuals in industries making up our built environment, the RFP Outstanding Individuals in Industry. Amidst stiff competition from Australia to India and North Asia the awards will now be extended to also offer regional awards in country specific categories including India, Greater China and South East Asia with regional exemplars receiving their awards and commendations at a series of ceremonies organised to coincide with the Asia Office Space Congress series of conferences as they are held from city to city.

Claire Saeki, Co-publisher and editor of RFP Magazine said "The new crops of winners as usual exemplify professionals at the top of their game. However we are receiving increasingly strong nominations from round the region this year, so instead of cutting out worthy nominations and creating a shortlist we will be contacting these parties to compete in their regional environments and celebrating their achievements as we travel the region as part of the Asia Office Space Congress Series of conferences".

RFP (Real Estate Facilities Projects) Magazines, one of Asia’s top trade names and publishing the leading magazines for the industries of the built environment, is proud to launch the 2011 ‘Outstanding Individuals in Industry’ Awards. The awards’ distinct feature is still to recognise the dedicated individuals behind the buildings in which we work live and play, which makes them stand out from other awards and is an honour of deep professional respect. For the fourth year running and with an overwhelming amount of nominations in spit of the financial crisis in 2010, the Outstanding Individuals In industry Awards 2011 is regarded as the awards of the year in the industry.

“Previous years’ award winners won acclaim from across the region from both press and the general public, and showed what the unsung heroes of our industry can achieve” said Claire Saeki, Co-Founder and Publisher, RFP Magazine. “We are looking forward to celebrating new heroes that have risen particularly in real estate, construction and other industries that saw a turn in fortune following the global economic crisis.” So that more deserving people can make it to the shortlist this year, RFP have rearranged the categories and streamlined the nomination process – the nomination form can be found at: www.rfpmagazine.com/outstandingindividuals/nominate

Due to popular demand, the following three new categories have been created:

  • Outstanding Corporate Real Estate Young Leader (supported and judged by CoreNet Global Hong Kong Chapter)
  • Architect and Designer of the Year
  • Engineering and System Designer of the Year

For the Outstanding Corporate Real Estate Young Leader Award, this is the first of its kind in the industry and this particularly award is co-organised with CoreNet Global Hong Kong Chapter. This award recognises the young stars of our industry that have great potential to make a difference. We are looking for high caliber individual who has the enthusiasm and a vision in Corporate Real Estate. If you are serving the Corporate Real Estate Industry and meet the age criteria of 35 and under, you should apply for this CRE Young Leader Award.

The award winner will also be entitled to the CoreNet Global Young Leader Membership for 1 year, access to Knowledge Centre and a free admission to the CoreNet Summit Hong Kong in March. Please note the deadline for this category is 31st January 2011.

Instead of having one combined category for architects and system designers as we did in previous years, two separate and distinct categories have now been created, in order to recognise the outstanding achievements of the architects, architectural designers, engineers and system designers.

Nominations are open between now and March 1st, apart from the Outstanding Corporate Real Estate Young Leader Award, which closes its nomination on 31st January, 2011. The winners and shortlisted nominees will be officially rewarded at a gala black tie dinner (one of the must-attend events of the year) in Hong Kong in June. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the awards website: www.rfpmagazine.com/outstandingindividuals/nominate/, and submitted by email (awards@rfpmagazine.com), fax (+852 2851 9477) or by post.

Gala Awards Dinner table sales are open now. Please download the booking form here.
