Unique awards launched by RFP magazine to recognise individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the industries of the built environment in Asia ..
NOMINATE NOW
14 November 2007 Hong Kong: RFP Magazine and Facility Media announced today the opening of Nominations for the First Annual Regional Awards for Outstanding Individuals In Industry, the first awards aimed at celebrating the heroes behind the scenes who design, build and manage the buildings in which we live, work and play. With a panel of high profile judges (see below), “Outstanding Individuals in Industry”, not only aims to celebrate those professionals with extraordinary abilities who have contributed to real estate and related businesses, but also bring diverse industry sub-sectors together to share experiences and learn from others.
“There are many awards for building projects such as architectural and design awards, but few of them recognise the contributions of the people who made up the team,” said Claire Saeki, Founder & Publisher of RFP Magazine. “We already have nominees who have made remarkable achievements from sandbagging commercial buildings to keep out the floodwaters in Mumbai to designing green cities of the future in China ”.
Quality and not quantity will be emphasised in selecting the winners. Ben Butt, Director of Goldcrest Consultants, Asia's longest established and leading specialist recruitment company said: “As a recruitment company we have noticed the huge competition for talent in all sectors of the industry across the region. By sponsoring the awards we feel that both employees and potential job candidates will see that Goldcrest also recognises the need for excellence in these industries.”
Ashford Pritchard, Editor of RFP, said: “Through the awards we aim to raise the profile of the industry and showcase the brilliant work done by the people behind the buildings shape our urban environment. There is a strong professional community out there whose work affects every single one of us, and these people deserve to be recognised.”
