Asia Office Space Congress Singapore was a roaring success with 120 delegates making the most of the learning and networking opportunities open to them by the event. Organisers declared that as the first Office Space Congress to be held outside of Hong Kong the number and quality of attendees was exceptional. It is definitely an event to mark on next year’s calendar.

Speakers followed the tried and tested Asia Office Space Congress format with a Singapore twist. First up the audience heard about the macro economic situation as it relates to real estate and of real estate’s sometimes disastrous effect on the macro economic situation.

This followed the discussion of corporate real estate market activity in Singapore – what new buildings were coming up and how that might affect supply. Then we heard from end users and facilities manager about the challenges of portfolio management and how to make your requirements known to those seated in the boardroom.

After more networking while enjoying the Hyatt’s three course luncheon, delegates were plunged into a world of projects and design – discovering that Singapore is on the edge of fully embracing alternative work place strategies.

Finally the day ended with more networking as delegates, speakers and sponsors mulled over the day’s learning and partnership opportunities over drinks and finger food.
