Hong Kong's Professional Green Building Council (PGBC) has announced that their second green building awards (GBAs) will allow nominations of projects completed by local professionals outside the territory. The awards, supported by government departments, academic institutions and professional associations, awards projects in 3 categories: new construction, existing buildings and research & planning studies.

The GBAs are held bi-annually, "To promote the importance of sustainable and green development," said Reuben Cheung, President, PGBC. The jury consists of representatives of the various supporting organisations, and will announce the winners in July this year. The selected projects will also be exhibited at the Sustainable Buildings 08 conference in Melbourne in September 2008. Nominations close May 19th. RFP
