RPM International acquires Flowcrete
US conglomerate takes control of specialist flooring manufacturer

| RPM International Inc, a multinational manufacturer of high-performance coatings, sealants and speciality chemicals has announced the acquisition of Flowcrete Group. Flowcrete, with 30 offices and 12 plants globally, boasts an annual turnover of GBP44 mil. It is known for a product line which includes decorative seamless resins, waterproof car park decking, resin terrazzo, seamless anti microbial flooring, corrosion protection, self-levelling cements, underfloor heating and acoustic systems. The current management team, who will continue to drive the groups business, welcomed the news. Mark Greaves, Group Managing Director, said: "We have been looking for some time at ways to raise funds for the group to give it the financial muscle to make further acquisitions. Our brief is to further aggressively expand the business to become the world's leading specialist flooring company." Chairman Dawn Gibbons, who founded the company with her father in 1987, noted that the deal that gives the company a platform for growth, stability and success. RPM International Inc. recorded sales of US$3.3 bil in 2007 with 63 per cent to industry worldwide and the remaining 37 per cent to domestic consumers mainly in North America . The transaction does not include Flowcrete offices and manufacturing plants in Brazil and South Africa . up. Back to news page |
