ProLogis have announced the lease of 205,000 sqf to a joint venture between Linotrans Liaoning and Nippon Express. Nittsu Sinotrans will occupy distribution space at ProLogis Park Dalian Free Port, providing third-party logistics and transportation services to Canon Inc.
"We are pleased Nittsu Sinotrans has selected ProLogis Park Dalian Free Port as its new distribution hub in the region," said Ming Mei, President, ProLogis China, noting that the northeastern location of the park and it's proximity to Dalian Free Port made it an excellent access point to markets in Korea and Japan.
The park is a master-planned distribution park comprising approximately 1.4 million square feet (130,000 square meters) of distribution space. There are five buildings in the park with the first two 100 percent leased, and the third approximately 80 percent leased. The fourth and fifth have just come online.
Other major tenants include OOCL Logistics, Toshiba Logistics, JD Cargo Logistics and Molex. According to a Prologis spokesperson, "leasing is on schedule and we expect enhanced market demand in the coming years."
