Asian design magazine Perspective will announce the winners of their annual Awards at a glitzy ceremony in Hong Kong tonight. The awards, broken down into professional and student categories, recognise the up-and-coming talent in Hong Kong's design industry. This year an additional category, product design, was added.
The judging panel featured a number of design luminaries, including Paul Katz, KFP, Richard Hawkins, Foster and Partners and Douglas Young, co-founder of G.O.D. In 2006 the office interior category was taken home by AOS. Architecture and Ptang Studio Ltd received awards for their work for CWRA Head Office and Standard Chartered Bank respectively. The best retail interior award went to FAK3 for the Miele Boutique.
The 2007 awards will showcase of the some of the region's most recent and innovative residential, commercial, and architectural achievements. RFP
